Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan will face German Side Bayern Munich coached by Loius Van Gaal, once Jose Mourinho`s teacher at Barcelona when the Portuguese took on translation and coaching assistant duties for the Catalan side.
It´s been over 10 years now, and both colleague will face again in the biggest football match of the season at the Bernabeu.
Both teams are fighting for Triple Silverware after winning both their respective leagues and national cups.
Today´s Lineups will be announced probably only at the very last minute before this match kicks off. Neither tacticians will want to give anything away.
Van Gaal will most likely have the following players lineup in a 442 formation starting from the back: Butt, Lahm, Demichelis, van Buyten, Badstuber, Altintop, Schweinsteiger, van Bommel, Robben, Olic and Muller.
Mourinho will most likely start with the following Inter Milan squad in a more conservative formation 4231. Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Samuel, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Muntari, Sneijder, Eto'o, Pandev and Milito.
Both influential players Thiago Motta and Franck Ribery will be missing due to expulsions in their respective semi-finals.
Van Gaal like to claim his Bayern side play the ''beautiful football'' with ''attacking style'' whereas Mourinho has been compared to negative football with the goal of a positive result. Epect Van Gaal to deply a wide 4-4-2 with full backs offering support on the attack to winger Robben. Van Bommel and Schweinsteiger will be attempt to put pressure up the middle. Mourinho will deploy a cautious 4-2-3-1 formation, and use two defensive midfielders to regain posession and strike on the counter attack with Etoo and Milito surely to cause some havoc in the German end. One key battle will be that of Javier Zanetti in controlling Arjen Robben who has been a game winner for Bayern in this Champions League Campaign. Mourinho may offer Zanetti some help in this task via a defensive midfielder.
