Munster will have to do without star fly-half Ronan O'Gara on the weekend as the pool stages of the Heineken Cup come to a head.

Munster will be desperate to record victory against Racing Metro, to ensure they progress to the knockout stages of the Cup.

O'Gara was given what many feel is a lenient sentence for kicking Edinburgh lock Sean Cox last weekend but instead of the usual minimum of four weeks, O'Gara escaped with a menial one week punishment.

This also means that O'Gara will be free to play for Ireland in their 6 Nations opener against Wales on the 2nd of February.

In other disciplinary news Racing Métro have suffered a double blow with centre Fabrice Estebanez suspended for four weeks after striking Saracens winger David Strettle and hooker Dimitri Szarzewski handed a 10-day suspension for foul play.
