The champions Leinster were one of the high profile sides knocked out in the group stages as the pools ended this in the Heineken Cup this weekend. Clermont ended Leinsters dreams with a 29-0 demolition job on Scarlets to send the champs packing.

There was more drama in Pool 2 with the Tigers beating the might of Toulouse 9-5 in the snow to scrape through to the quarterfinals.

Joining Leicester and Clermont in the quarters are Saracens and Munster from Pool 1. Harlequins, who went undefeated in Pool 3, as well as Toulon and Montpellier, both from Pool 6.

The quarterfinal matchups will be played between April 5-7 and are as follows:

Harlequins v Munster
Clermont v Montpellier
Toulon v Leicester
Saracens v Ulster
